All hours, every day
Come now. Do not wait for money
Emergency treatment is never withheld for want of payment. Somebody will talk to you about cost afterwards, never before.
Come now if any of these are true

Chest pain. Bad bleeding. Trouble breathing. A fit. A bad injury or burn. A child who is limp, will not feed, or is breathing fast. Sudden weakness on one side. Heavy bleeding in pregnancy.
When you arrive
The sickest person is seen first
Not the first to arrive, and not the loudest. That is the only fair way to run an emergency room, and it means you may wait while somebody who came after you is taken through.
- Triage. A nurse assesses you within minutes of arrival and gives you a priority.
- Priority. The most urgent are taken straight through. Everyone else waits in order of need.
- Treatment. What happens is written into the same record your clinic uses.
- Afterwards. You are either admitted, sent to a clinic with a date, or sent home knowing what to watch for.
Where to go
The entrance on the right of the building as you face it from Tubman Boulevard. It is lit all night and there is always somebody there.
If you are not sure
Telephone the emergency line and describe what is happening. Somebody will tell you whether to come now or wait for a clinic. Nobody is annoyed by a call that turns out to be nothing.
